Marlins:

Thanks to all those that volunteered and congratulations to all our swimmers on a great swim meet!  We had a lot of excellent performances including SIX swim team records fell last night!  The swimmers had fun, and overall the swim meet ran very smoothly.  The Dardenne team leadership met with our team leadership and we exchanged a few good ideas for meet operations to make things go more smoothly, so expect to see some tweaks at our final home meet of the season Monday.

When I review the swim meet results, the first thing I review, is the high-level statistics.  Most specifically, the percentage of our kids that improved their personal best times.  We cannot control who the other team brings to a meet, so in my opinion this is the item that matters the most.  Ultimately, our swimmers are really competing against themselves and a stopwatch.

NOTE 1:  I've asked Dardenne to provide us with the DQ detail report.  I’ll provide that to our coaches as soon as I receive it, so again – see your coach with any questions.

NOTE 2:  Signups close for the Monday HOME swim meet against Blanchette.  Remember, I have to have all registrations complete by THURSDAY AT 5:00!  Even if your child cannot attend, PLEASE declare attending/not attending and select events here for that swim meet ASAP!

NOTE 3:  We are EXTREMELY SHORT on volunteers for that meet, so please review the open parent volunteer jobs and sign yourself up even if you’ve already satisfied the minimum required six shifts!
