2018 All County Meet - Additional important information

    Marlins:

My apologies, but they've been working hard on the swim meet and I wanted to share some updates.  You may have noticed that there were neither event time estimates on the Meet Program nor heat/lane/position information on the previous versions of the Event Entry reports.  Numerous teams requested that the Meet Director include additional information so I'm sharing the same documents as before, but with additional details contained within.  Just to be very clear, the documents I sent out earlier today are not wrong, they've just added information in the documents I'm distributing now to make them more detailed.

Again, this is a large swim meet with two pools running simultaneously.  The North pool will start at event 1 when the first race is ran at 1:30 PM.  The South Pool will start with event 45 also at 1:30 PM.  The Meet Manager program estimates the North Pool will be complete at 4:19 and the South Pool at 5:01.

For those that use "Meet Mobile" on your phones and tablets (primarily year-round swimmers) this meet will be sending out race result alerts.  Unfortunately, the Meet Manager software can only display one session at a time, so the morning session is visible until it is concluded, then sometime around noon on Saturday the afternoon session will be populated with our team and all the swimmers participating in the PM session will be displayed.  The Swim Meet itself is view-able in the "Meets Near Me" search.  Incidentally, for those that think this would be a great feature for all of our own home meets next season, there is a one-time $495 fee to buy this Meet Manager software enhancement, so feel free to contact our Marlin Treasurer Christie Tutschulte and make a generous donation to the cause! ;~)

My apologies for the multiple emails, but I'm trying to provide as much information as I can, without overloading and becoming a nuisance - it's a fine line to walk.

    Dave Bostelmann
