Parents,

Tuesday, April 30 is our Kick Off Meeting for the 2019 Marlins Season.  Our meeting begins at 6:30 pm at the Independence Elementary School Cafeteria; please use the Cafeteria Entrance on the back side of the school.   

If you are NEW to the Marlins this is an EXTREMELY important meeting and it is advisable that (at least) one parent from your family try to attend.  If you are a returning family, we have updates and announcements to share.  We will try our best to share these through our regular communication channels following the meeting but it is best to attend in person.  

We will be opening Sign Ups for the full season of Parent Worker Volunteer Shifts at the meeting.  Sign Ups will be available to all families who have paid registrations in full.  Jobs are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.   

We have a new Team Suit for 2019.  Your swimmers need only attend the meeting with you if they require a new swimsuit for this summer.  As a reminder, we do not require swimmers to wear a team suit but encourage a Blue/Black suit.  Wearing prior year suits and trading between families is completely acceptable to help families minimize costs.  If you have a suit you wish to share or trade with another family, feel free to bring it on Monday or post the information on the Marlins Facebook (Muirfield Marlins Swim Team) page.   B&B Aquatics will also be onsite for the evening.  Your swimmer(s) will be able to try on new suits to purchase and take with you on Tuesday.    If your swimmer is unable to attend and needs to be fitted for their suit, you can visit B&B Aquatics in Chesterfield; located at 1747 Clarkson Road.  Their hours are 10-6 daily and 10-5 on Saturdays (closed Sundays).

Additionally, if your swimmers attend the meeting, please understand there will be no childcare provided and the meeting is expected to last approximately 90 minutes.
