2019 - Whitmoor at Muirfield - Meet Program and Event Entry Programs
Marlins:
I attached the "Meet Program" and "Event Entry" documents for our home meet Monday 6/10/19 where
we’re hosting Whitmoor. A reminder that everybody
should be at the pool at about 5:00 PM, warmups are at 5:30, and the swim meet
starts at 6:00! PLEASE write your child's events on their hand PRIOR to
arriving at the meet! There are a lot of kids, so please help the coaches out
and handle this at home if possible.
For example, I’ll use Glenda Hanstein’s daughter Claire since she’s in a relay:
- E5 H1 L4 100-IM
- E17 H1 L4 P4 200-Free Relay
- E61 H1 L4 P3 200-Medley Relay
- E107 H1 L4 100 Free
NOTE: I put the position (P1 through P4) that she's swimming in
her relay, this way she knows the swimmer order - and the stroke she's swimming
in the Medley Relay!
Medley
Relay order: Backstroke, Breaststroke,
Butterfly, then Freestyle. Using Claire’s example above, I know that
since she is swimming third (P3), she will be swimming the butterfly relay leg.
Both the 'Meet Program' and the 'Event Entry' documents provides your child their Event, Heat, Lane, and Position
(where applicable) in advance of the swim meet. It's your discretion if you
want to include the event descriptions too as I did above, you know your child
best so write it on their arm too if you think they might need it. I also
encourage folks to print and share your copy of the program as needed. There might be some last-minute lane reassignments by the bullpen - so please
be flexible!
Many volunteer job functions have changed since we've transitioned to automated swim meets. You can select this link and review a high level job description for all the volunteer jobs and I recommend that everybody at least do a quick review. There's also a "Swim Meet Checklist" located at the bottom of the page for those that might find it helpful.
If you have
further questions, you can contact Glenda or me, and we'll try to help!
Let’s have a fun meet and GO MARLINS!!!
