2019 - St Charles YMCA at Muirfield - Swim Meet wrap-up

    Marlins,

The second swim meet of the season is officially in the books. It took us an extra week to get there, but that’s how it goes with outdoor events this summer!  Now, on to all the great news I want to share about the swim meet.  I think the extra time practicing since the first meet really helped our swimmers!  I want to call out some high-level stats:

    Total Marlin Athletes:         92

    Total Results:                  248

    Total Points:                    933.0

    Total Improved Times:     114

    Pct Improved Times:        45.97%

Those numbers are unbelievable!  We had 92 Marlins participate in the swim meet and nearly 46% of the races swam last night resulted in an improved time – outstanding job!!!

There were so many excellent performances last night that I was forced to trim this list down a bit to those that improved at least two times.  Congratulations to these outstanding swimmers, especially for the ones in bold, they improved on ALL their individual events!

Thanks again for helping make the swim meet move along as smoothly as possible.  None of this is possible without parent volunteers!  I know we’re not having a swim meet next Monday due to Independence Day, but please take a moment and sign your child up here (or declare they can’t attend) the next meet (July 7) at home against the Dardenne Devil Rays.  There are 64 swimmers that have yet to declare for that meet and I really want to close that gap ASAP.  We're going on vacation next week so I’ll be building the swim meet while traveling, so PLEASE me out by taking care of signups ASAP!  Please help make it a lot easier for me to build the meet.

    Dave Bostelmann
